Finding New Hope: Dr. Goh's Journey from Camp Counselor to Doctor

Dr. Suzanne Goh, MD, BCBA, is a board-certified pediatric behavioral neurologist, behavioral analyst, neuroscience researcher, and author. She has dedicated her career to researching and developing therapies for neurological conditions that impact childhood brain development. Specializing in the treatment of autism, she is the founder of Cortica, and creator of the Cortica Care Model.

She has published medical research in leading neuroscience peer-reviewed journals, as well as a book, intended for parents of children with developmental differences called Magnificent Minds.

In the first installment of this blog series, Finding New Hope, we are excited to introduce you to this key voice in pediatric neurology and her vision to celebrate and nurture the uniqueness that each autistic person brings to the world.

Dr. Goh’s early experiences with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders inspired her to change the treatment environment for these individuals through her own company called Cortica.

Cortica’s model is based on four components: deep diagnosis, developmental therapies, behavior therapy and family support, mental health, and counseling.

Cortica understands the importance of genetic testing to end the diagnostic odyssey for patients and their family and inform healthcare choices.  Ambry Genetics is proud to be one of their partners.

Dr. Goh’s early experiences with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders inspired her to change the treatment environment for these individuals through her own company called Cortica. Watch out for part two of this blog series!
